Quality Engineer’s mission will be to never allow a critical issue to be passed into production and to ensure that production applications meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.


The Quality Engineer is responsible for the test analysis, test documentation, and test execution effort to support continuous development and implementation of Accolade solutions. This person will be responsible for creating and executing automated test scripts to verify that software changes are aligned with the business need, all while supporting our SDLC. He or she is expected to play an active role in the discussion of software features and bring issues such as workflow, consistency, and usability to the forefront of the discussion, and to assist in the design of a comprehensive solution. This position will work closely with product stakeholders, developers, and business analysts.


The ideal candidate has 4-8 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years of automation. Someone that wants to be part of a small team within a rapidly growing company, feels total ownership over their work, and focuses on always being one step ahead. We are seeking Quality Engineers who have experience with agile development and rapid deployment methodologies.



·      Augment our automation efforts, including unit, integration (service) and system level tests

·      Continue the build out of the automation framework and suites

·      Work directly with feature developers to support our automation efforts

·      Facilitate test-driven deployment

·      Follow Agile testing principles and continuously review, implement, and communicate process improvements and quality metrics to the team

·      Identify test requirements from user stories, workflows, and specifications

·      Create and execute automated test cases

·      Participate in the design, development, and implementation of test standards, as well as QA procedures to maintain high levels of software quality and product reliability

·      Diagnose issues and partner with development teams to resolve defects

·      Identify any potential quality issues per the defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management

·      Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Required Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

·      4-8 years of experience in a QA Engineer/Architect/Developer, or Test Specialist role, bonus if in the Financial or Healthcare sectors

·      2+ years of extensive experience using an automated test tool, such as Selenium

·      Skilled in continuous deployment environments and creating QA-driven acceptance criteria for development features

·      Proficient in SDLC methods and practices

·      Significant experience using Agile with Scrum methodology

·      An effective generalist across technologies, which includes Java web applications, databases, mobile apps, cross browser support
